TeamSpeak Server 3.7.0 has been released and we will start upgrading our virtual servers Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 starting at 12:00 pm EST and will be completed by 6:00 pm EST. Each server will be down for approximately 5 minutes during the upgrade. During the upgrade, your server will not be available but only for the 5 minutes of your actual upgrade.
This upgrade addresses the following:
- With the new server version 3.7.0 we've resolved an issue that could lead to an unexpected shutdown of the TeamSpeak Server instance when a client sends a manipulated login packet during connection.
- Setting up channels using legacy audio codecs (e.g. Speex, CELT) will no longer be supported. Existing channels configured to use these codecs will still work, however. In all future TeamSpeak Server releases, we will automatically migrate existing channels by switching Speex and CELT codecs to their Opus equivalent.
